US Fleet Positions for War against Iran

The latest report of movements of the US Fleet indicates they are positioning for war against Iran. As the following map shows, the US now has not just one, but two aircraft carriers in the Arabian Sea near the southern Iranian border. These are the Enterprise (normally assigned to the Atlantic Ocean) and the Abraham Lincoln (normally assigned to the Pacific Ocean). In addition, the US has a large Battleship, the Iwo Jima nearby and other one, the Makin Island, moving quickly from the Pacific Ocean to the 5th Fleet in the Arabian Sea near the southern Iranian border. This is the largest concentration of US big ships in the Arabian Sea since the start of the Iraq War many years ago.

Last week, Congress passed a resolution authorizing any President to go to war without their further authorization by a vote of more than 400 to 11. Meanwhile, the Iranian Oil Sanctions are scheduled to go into full force on July 1st. We intend to organize an antiwar protest in Seattle in July to protest the sanctions and the War which may start shortly after that.  We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, watch the video below to learn more about why the oil sanctions are bad for America and bad for the entire world.
